Within one business day you will have a price recommendation from a Certified Saddle Expert, based on actual data on what saddles like yours are selling for today, plus a yes or no answer on whether we are willing to accept your saddle in our program.

The pricing we recommend is a guide. The actual asking price is yours to set.

Accepted saddles must be shipped to Sarault & Co. within 3 business days, are inspected in hand, photographed and videoed properly, and sold with the inspection certification published beside them.

There is no cost to submit your saddle for consideration.

4When it sells, you are paidThe buyer has seven days from receipt. When the trial closes, you receive the sale price less commission.

  • 27-point inspection in hand: tree, billets, rigging, stitching, tooling, leather quality, panels, hardware, provenance, etc.
  • Every finding documented, every imperfection disclosed
  • Photographed properly, in daylight, on the stand
  • Listed with the Verified mark and the inspection report attached
  • We hold it and ship it for you, insured, for up to ninety days
  • Buyer has seven day trial from receipt; you are paid when the trial period closes
  • Not sold in ninety days? It comes back to you at our cost but remains on the site as a Verified available saddle

Why there is only one way to consign.

A buyer paying several thousand dollars for a saddle they have never touched is trusting someone. On most sites that someone is a stranger with a phone camera. Here it is Jeff Sarault, and the inspection he ran is published beside the listing.

That only works if it is true of every saddle. So every saddle we offer has been in hand, without exception. The fee covers the inspection and the photography; the commission covers holding, insuring and shipping the saddle, the seven-day trial, and finding the right rider for it.
